Have you ever heard that storing your battery in refrigerator will make it longer? Mostly, people believe that storing their battery in refrigerator can make it longer. Actually, you should know that this concept come from in a past time where they still using the refrigerator battery that consist of mercury. The photographer at that time, keep the battery in cold temperature for not losing the amount of mercury while they were not using it.

Since the U.S. government made a prohibition of these mercury battery in 80’s, because of healthy reason. After that, rising the alkaline battery that we use until now. These batteries are not as good as mercury battery, but these battery can store in room temperature. Some of this battery can be rechargeable, but you should know that don’t store this battery in along time without charging periodically. Others, you should know that if you store this battery In along time without charging, it will decrease the ability rapidly. So, it means that, it will broke your battery if you store it in refrigerator, except you have the mercury one. Make sure if you have the mercury battery, it must be far away from the foods.
